Invoice Needed In Advance
You are reminded to submit an electronic copy of the purchase invoice for every package you ship.
Trinidad and Tobago Customs require a invoice to confirm the description and value of your item. Without that invoice, they will determine a value in accordance with the Sixth Schedule of the Customs Act Chapter 78.01. This means that although they follow a process established in law, their valuation may be higher than what you paid.
Submitting a false invoice is an offence.
How do I submit my invoice?
Send your invoice via e-mail to customerservice@inviare.com . Ensure that you indicate the tracking # or the warehouse receipt number.
There is a time limit for this. You must send the invoice prior to the cargo arriving in Trinidad.
Do not reply (send the Invoice) to the email where you receive the warehouse receipt.
This time limit is to ensure your invoices can be made available to Customs. Failure to provide your invoice in time can result in incorrect values being used.
